The Whopping 500hp SUV To Blast The School Run

We may have always looked at Kia for making very practical somewhat boring cars but this car is different... very different. When the EV9 was launched back in 2023 it had a 336 mile range with 215 horsepower - very sensible but not silly enough for us car people who want to blast through country lanes on the way to school. This then, the Kia EV9 GT is the perfect electric rocketship for the daily drive.

Aesthetics:

As we look at the front the absolutely incredible details of the frontlights stand out just to increase the look of a brute that this car is going for. The green calipers set of the grey paintwork so well and allows an onlooker to recognise that this is not just any old Kia from a small glance, housing these are the optional 21 inch wheels finished in black and silver. From the front, I believe that this is one of the greatest looking SUV's there

has ever been.

Following the trend of being a brute the strong, solid silhouette assures a very good looking rear end. Though it does seem slightly boring when we compare it to the front end, it does still remain very good looking and at no point does it appear ugly, the only issue is that it may look similar to the base models.

Price and Performance:

Dual-motor all-wheel-drive drivtrain that helps put down the incredible 494 horsepower (double the base models!) and a 0-60 time of 4.3 seconds. However, it isnt all good - the price. Well lets start at the bottom of the range the base model is around £50,000 which is already a LOT of money but as we progress up the range towards todays range-topping subject we reach north of £80,000! Now this seems to be a great car but that price tag puts it against cars like a highly specced BMW X5 or highly specced Volvo XC90 which would be two family SUV's that are much likely to be chosen over this car.

Conclusion:

So at the end of the day, what do we have here? Well it is the recipe for a truly brilliant car that will make the daily commute so much better and exhilerate you with the instant torque at the nearest red light. However the price really is just too high, thats Porsche, Mercedes and BMW teritory and I believe that when people are deciding the next luxury family car, there will be no hesitation to go the exclusive brands and not even look what a company like Kia has to offer which I honestly believe is a massive shame.
